The short version

When you run an audit I collect two things: your website address and your email address. I use them to build your report, send it to you, and follow up twice at most. If you get in touch or become a client, I keep what you send me and nothing more. The only tracking on this site is Google Analytics, and it only runs if you say yes to it. I don’t sell data and I don’t have a list to sell it to.

Who I am

AGC-MEDIA LTD, trading as AGC Media — registered in England and Wales, company number 17306568, registered office Flat 32, Lucius Street, Torquay, Devon TQ2 5UN. I’m the data controller for everything described here. You can reach me at alfie@agc-media.com. ICO registration number ZC257621.

What I collect, and why

The audits. Your name, your website address — used to run the audit you asked for — and your email address, used to deliver the report. The audit reads the public pages of your site the way any visitor or search crawler would, and parts of that analysis are produced using third-party AI services — your site’s public content passes through «AI ANALYSIS PROVIDER(S)» to be scored. That’s the performance of the contract you started when you submitted the form.

The follow-ups. At most two emails about what the audit found, sent on legitimate interest — you asked me to look at your site, and they’re about what I found. Reply with a one-word no and they stop.

The contact form and bookings. Your name, business name, website address, what you tell me about your project, and how to reach you. Booked calls go through Google Calendar’s appointment system, so Google processes your name, email and the time you picked. All of it is used to answer you and prepare for the work — steps taken at your request before a contract.

Payments. Handled by our payment provider — currently Tide’s payment platform. Your card details go to them, not to me — I see who paid, what for, and when. Invoices and payment records are kept for six years because tax law says so.

Clients. If we work together, enquiry and project records are kept in my CRM system («CRM PROVIDER») for the life of the relationship.

Analytics. Google Analytics, only with your consent (see Cookies below) — anonymous-to-me usage data about which pages get read. Decline and the site works identically.

Server logs. Standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) kept by the server («HOSTING PROVIDER / LOCATION») for security and error diagnosis.

Where your report lives

Your report sits at a private link that only you receive. It carries an unguessable address, it’s excluded from search engines, and it expires or is archived after «90» days.

How long I keep things

Audit records (your URL, email and report): «12 months», then deleted. Enquiries that don’t become work: «24 months». Client records: the length of the relationship plus «12 months». Payment and invoice records: six years, as required by law. Ask me to delete everything I can legally delete and I will, within 30 days, and I’ll confirm when it’s done.

Who else touches the data

Tide (payments), Google (calendar bookings and analytics), «EMAIL PROVIDER» (email), «CRM PROVIDER» (client records), «HOSTING PROVIDER» (this site and the audit system), «AI ANALYSIS PROVIDER(S)» (audit analysis). Each one only processes what it needs to do its job, under its own published terms. Nobody gets your data for advertising.

Some of those providers process data outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK-approved safeguards — the UK–US Data Bridge or the UK’s standard contractual terms.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies. Two things use your browser’s storage: a small setting that remembers your reduce-motion choice (strictly functional, no consent needed), and Google Analytics — which sets cookies only after you agree to it in the consent notice. Say no and nothing changes about how the site works. You can change your mind at any time via the cookies link in the footer.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, restrict how it’s used, object to its use, or take it elsewhere. Email alfie@agc-media.com and I’ll act on it within a month. If you think I’ve handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office — ico.org.uk, or 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. No silent edits.
